    Hood Options

    TNV ICV

The Seghers Fluid Clean fluidized sand bed can be manufactured with a standard RAN hood or an Optional ICV high hood. The standard RAN hood is suitable for most paint and plastic applications. An ICV high hood is used for especially volatile organics with a low flash point. The high hood allows a basket to be loaded on dead sand and become fluidized after the hood is closed. Any fugitive fumes that may be present during loading is contained within the bed itself and removed by the forced air exhaust fan.

    Flue Gas Cleaning

Seghers Fluid Clean installations can be supplied with an integrated cyclone or ceramic filter to remove dust particles from flue gases.

    Neutralizing Corrosive Off Gassing

When removing certain halogenated compounds like PVC, Rubber or Teflon™, a dry absorption system can easily be included before the ceramic filter. A dry powder is injected and acts as a reagent to neutralize acid gasses (HF, SO2, HCL). The products of the reaction as well as dust are separated from the exhaust stream by means of a ceramic filter. Typically calcium hydroxide is used for acid gas removal.

  • Diablo(s)

    Heated Atmosphere Reactor

DIABLO systems are very compact cleaning ovens with an accurately controlled process for cleaning of valuable tools, applicable for injection moulding extruders from plastic processing and synthetic fiber industry. Typical tools are injection nozzles, mould parts, mixers, filters, breaker plates, dies, spin packs, etc.

In a simple cleaning cycle, the reactor can be preheated to a chosen 'stand by temperature' before the contaminated parts are loaded. The loading frame with removable trays for the parts is attached to the door that slides out of the unit and is accessible from different sides to load the parts. The door closes pneumatically and the 'cycle start' will keep the unit safely closed and sealed. The cleaning cycle with temperature and atmosphere control runs automatically. When the cycle has come to an end, the unit resumes stand-by operation and the parts can be unloaded. More complex multipoint cleaning cycles can be programmed to suit specific applications.

DIABLO systems are based on the "heated atmosphere" cleaning process, and mainly consist of a cleaning reactor (bottom part) and a Postcombustion section (top part). The reactor is electrically heated while the post combustions runs on a small gas burner. The heating as well as the atmosphere inside the cleaning reactor are accurately controlled by an integrated up to date programmable controller for fast and thorough cleaning without any risk for damage or deformation to the valuable tools.

    Advantages:
    • Safe, reliable & precise thermal cleaning process with no risk of damage to sensitive parts
    • Low contact temperature, no risk to operators
    • Ergonomic loading by pneumatically operated door with attached loading trays
    • Advanced multi-language controller with programmable cleaning cycles
    • Short cleaning cycles of 90-270 minutes
    • Temperature adjustable from 212-932 degrees Fahrenheit
    • Low maintenance concept
    • Compact layout, easy to install
    • Works on natural gas and LPG
    • Environmentally friendly
    • Low temperature gases (122-158 degrees Fahrenheit)
